A Big warm G'day to you all!

Last year we decided to donate a portion of your Huggalugs purchases towards supporting a child and his family in India. We do this through a fantastic organisation called Childfund and think this is a great way to 'Pay it Forward'.

Not only does the Childfund Australia organisation help those in need by way of sponsorship- they also have a very cool program called 'Donations with a Difference' where for a small cost, you can buy a family in need a batch of chickens or a cow among other things. This helps by providing both food and income to families and communities less fortunate than ours. To read more about this, please click here.

News and correspondance from Kare Gowda, your sponsored child, will be posted on this blog. Be sure to check back to see his progress and read some interesting happenings in Kare and his families life. I think sponsoring a child is a great way to be able to share the belief that you can make a difference in simple ways, with your children. If they are old enough, why not read this blog section with them? Kare's sanskrit writing and drawing is very beautiful and his number skills are great also!
