How do I launder my Leg and Arm Huggers?

Cold machine wash. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. In sizing our products we allow for a small amount of shrinkage (approx 5%) to accomodate for the natural shrinkage of cotton.

As with all cotton products, avoid tumble drying to maintain maximum fit. Alternatively, if your little one is really little and you want to shrink your huggers down further for an even snugger fit, pop them in the dryer on high and check regularly until they reach the desired size.

Why are there so many threads on the inside of some leg hugger patterns? Will the threads come out in the wash?

The threads on the inside of some of the leg hugger designs, especially the intricately patterned ones like the Blossom range, are a by-product of the knitting process. As the machine knits the leg hugger, each thread is cut and the next colour thread in the pattern is taken up. It is unfortunate that the inside contains the loose threads and looks a bit untidy at first sight. As we were going through the design and testing process, we found that the threads needed to be left a little longer in the cut length so as not to cause issues in the finished knit after the washing process. We had to accept this as a part of the knitting process and we think the patterns are worth it!!! Once these leg huggers are washed, the natural felting in the cotton tends to neaten the overall look of the inside. And, as long as you are not planning to wear these inside out :), you have the lovely patterns on the outside. We've tested all of our designs on our own kids and washed them numerous times without having any problems (and I'm talking industrial wash and dry! However, tumble drying on high did felt/resize them). Your leg huggers should be fine as long as you follow the washing instructions on the packaging (see washing instructions above as well).
